( 5 ) Period by Method packaging design, brand identity, digitalWhy are flower patterns in the period product in the market always soft, frail, and timid? The project concept of this hypothetical brand extension for Method started from my observation of the period product market. Period products need a strong and present visual voice. I want this brand to suggest a distinctive definition of the flower by offering eco-friendly and sustainable period products.

BRAND IDENTITY

The logo is inspired by the futuristic and cyber aesthetic to visualize a unique interpretation of the flower. This concept, cyber flower, will not only change the stereotypical image of period products but also offer non-toxic, eco-friendly, and sustainable products just like Method does.

PRODUCT LINE

All the product lines and materials are reimagined with sustainable alternatives such as reusable menstrual cup and tampon applicator, dissolvable tablets, and aluminum reusable cases.

APPLICATION

This hypothetical extension has a subscription feature where customers can set their own refill cycle based on their period cycle. Customers can customize their orders and track their cycles on its dedicated app.

SUBSCRIPTION BOX

Certain product lines of Period by Method such as feminine wash and disinfectant spray are made for a refillable system. Refill tablets and their orders on feminine products will be shipped together.

RECYCLING PROCESS

During the research, I found that plastic pads cannot be made out of 100% biodegradable materials because of the synthetics in the adhesive. To solve this problem, I adapted the compositing service that will dispose of and recycle used pads properly for the customers.
