Pause Hotel is the hypothetical hospitality concept for Polaroid. Pause Hotel is a sanctuary for you to temporarily escape your fast-paced lives, reconnect with your loved ones, and document meaningful moments in a tangible and nostalgic way. “Live for the moment” is the motto of the brand. It offers the space to record your precious moments and the time to appreciate them.
Brand Identity
Once you take photos you need the moment to get the result. I thought this waiting time is precious because it makes you feel the surroundings. The logo is inspired by the process of Polaroid photography. The imperfectness of the logo represents the pause moment and appreciation of that moment. Print (Pause Time)

Brand Experience (15 Minutes for You)
To adapt that brand concept, I created the in-room experience where you can write something to yourself. The hotel will send it back to you after you check out. This fun experience enables the guests to document the moment of their stay and keep that memory for a long time in a tangible and nostalgic way.Brand Experience (Pause App)
Additionally, I created an app for the guests to make them more active in capturing and remembering the moment. This camera app allows guests to take a photo, customize it with vintage stickers, and share it with their friends.Pause Lounge
I also created a secondary brand extension, Pause Lounge for the creators and visitors which well represents Polaroid’s core values and visual voice. Photography exhibitions and creative workshops will also be held in this space.Spec Work | role as graphic designer and art director
